Want to learn to play bridge, or sharpen your game?

The Caloundra Club provides a variety of classes to help both beginners and improving players.

Beginners’ Classes: Beginners classes are held on Tuesday mornings starting at 9.00 am and finishing at approximately 12.00 noon. The next session for 2010 will commence on Tuesday 6 July 2010. To register your interest, please ring the Club on (07) 5492 5370. Tuition fees for all beginners will be $30, which includes a 100 page manual.

Supervised Play: Supervised session of bridge resume Tuesday 2 February 2010. This is held every Tuesday starting at 12.30 p.m. to assist those who are still participating in or those who have recently graduated from the Beginners’ Classes. There will be no charge to beginners for Supervised Play for 4 weeks after graduating. Thereafter, the fee will be the normal club member rate of $3.50 per session.

Night time lessons: Our sister club, the Sunshine Coast Bridge Club, is running a series of Beginners' Lessons at night, commencing Wednesday 7 July 2010. Ken Dawson, an experienced teacher and bridge player, will be the presenter. Lessons will start at 6.45pm for 7.00 pm and finish around 10.15pm. They will consist of an introductory talk and PowerPoint presentation, followed by some play, and then discussion on the play. No need to bring your partner. The course will be the same as has been taught in our day time lessons. The lessons run for 10 weeks, and are followed by supervised play.
